Simple tool to use. Sharp and ergonomic. Pliers are easy to open and hasn't seized yet after several months of being used.

Pliers are generally a pretty simple tool to use and judge. For me if they feel good in my hands and get the job done without falling apart, I'm pretty happy. During my testing period I used these pliers pretty extensively for a couple of my routine tasks; cutting spark plug washers off of used plugs in order to refurbish them and cutting bailing wire for fastening or bundling various parts. Let's start with how they felt for me. I have fairly small hands being that I wear a size small or sz 8 glove. The spacing of the handle spread was very comfortable and did not require any excess stretching of my hand beyond a comfortable grip in order to hold and operate them. The wrap for the handle was also a little more than the average thin layer of rubber that you find on many "hardware store" type tools that helped the comfort level without compromising leverage when cutting. Grade for comfort assessment =A. The actual usage of the pliers now. As mentioned above, these pliers were very comfortable in my hand and therefore made the cutting and removal of some 120 plus plug washers very easy. The cutting edges did not develop any nicks or indentations from the repetitive cutting at pretty much the exact same point along them at all and they retained their reliability very nicely. I also cut a lot of baling wire which is a little harder than the plug washers and again, absolutely no issues. Grade for use and reliability = A. In conclusion, I tested these pliers against the Woodward 6" pair that I had already been using at work. They were more comfortable to grip and got the job done very well. I would certainly recommend these pliers for the home do-it-yourselfer and the industry professional. Final Grade = a definite A.

These are typical good Mastercraft quality. I judge tools like cutters and pliers on two features, how they feel in your hand and the quality of the working end. These have a comfortable grip and the handles are close enough together to allow my hand not to be over extended during the cutting process. The business end is the other important feature. Too often cutters have cutting edges that either don't come together in a nice even line or are ground unevenly, leaving one edge noticeably narrower than the other. These cutters have neither of these woes, a direct reflection of the care taken during manufacturing. I would recommend these cutters to friends and fellow tradespersons.

These pliers will last along time with its quality cutting ability. I used it to cut speaker wires and some metal hangers.
