Spend the few extra dollars

I bought this at a great price 2 years ago that I convinced myself not to spend a few extra dollars on name brand. I should have spent the extra money. They claim their maximum products are better, but I disagree. If you buy a tool like this, buy something you can keep for life. I built a bunkie last year, and a sauna this year. The screws came apart and they don’t have a replacement pack(Last thing I needed at camp). Among multiple jams. Went to Canadian tire today and all they wanted was a receipt(even though I bought it with my canadiantire credit card). Save your money and the land fill and don’t buy Canadian tire brand tools...unless you only use them once or twice a year to hang a picture or something. Oh, and forced to buy canadiantire brand 34 degree nails....more garbage in the landfill.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Dont buy if you plan on using it

I bought this gun about 8 months. I use it occasionally to build decks etc. This gun is more hassle than it worth. It leaks air steady, the bolts on the safety have come lose. It seems I spend more time fixing it than using it

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Just opened my nailer. Magazine doesn't lock open to load nails. Push lever seems to have no function. Will load carefully while holding pusher open. Am I missing something?

1 Answer
  • A: Pulling down on the sliding pusher (towards the bottom of the magazine, below) should lock it in place, allowing for nail loading. Once locked, the smaller lever should unlock the sliding pusher allowing it to butt up against the bottom of the nails. If you are depressing the lever and pulling the sliding pusher at the same time, it won’t engage/lock. For further assistance, please contact the Maximum team at 1 888 670 6682.
