No where does it say on the packaging that it fits Mastercraft or Mastercraft Maximum drills. The new series of tools is designed exclusively for Maximum products, not for Mastercraft products. It is not appropriate to provide poor ratings when an individual makes a purchasing error and has nothing to do with the performance of the item.

Great Tool

This Multi-Tool is simple to use and has a lot of power. The leaver blade changing system makes changing the blades quick and easy. The LEDs do a great job of lighting up the material being cut and the multi speed adjustment makes it even more versatile. Great Tool.

Q: Does this battery have a built in low voltage cutoff?

A: The battery pack will not fully drain before shutting down on the tool indicating the requirement for a recharge. Likewise, if left mounted on the charger, once fully charged, the charger / battery switch to a trickle charge so the battery can remain mounted for an extended period without any damage to the system.

Q: This item is the same price as 54-6702 but does not have the indicator and only a 3 year warranty vs a 5 year warranty on 54-6702. They appear to be the same item except the warranty and indicator. Is this item slated to be discontinued?
