very poor quality

Rewriting my review for this sander .
Old review should say 2- 20 Volt batteries bought . Does not work after 2 bars are used on the batteries . Batteries take over an hour to charge .
Bought the sander October 11 2023 .
Quite working Beginning of Dec 2023. Only stores around me that sell these . Kincardine and Mount Forest .
Took it in to swap for a new one April 13, 2024. Said needed to send away to be fixed . It has been more than 3 Months old for exchange
Still to this day June 13 2024. Has not been fixed waiting for parts . I should have bought the Dewalt , for a few more dollars when on sale . Same kind of style .
When I finally pick it up , I will see how long it lasts this time .
I was thinking , I should buy a second one and keep exchanging them when they break down .
No, I do not recommend this product.

Randomly stops working

Your difficulty is likely with the battery, not the tool. I have had a similar experience myself and it was with a 2.0Ah battery. I had switched a battery from a drill to the belt sander, thinking the battery was full as I had not used the drill much off the battery charge. It functioned intermittently. The battery was in fact not fully charged as it would lose some charge sitting on the tool. This caused the belt sander to function intermittently. I replaced the battery with a fully charged battery off the charger and the tool functioned as expected. I now use a 4.0Ah battery or greater with the tool and have no issues whatsoever.

Long battery runtime

I bought the sander bout 3 weeks . Also purchased 2 -40 volt batteries. I didn't know what to expect as I was tired of corded sanders.
Works beyond expectations . The batteries go down to about 2 bars and then the sander stops working .
But does extremely long on one fully charged battery.
As for the other reviews , buy larger batteries.
Yes, I recommend this product.

A: Not sure………….I just use the standard maximum batteries for mine. I have all the other bare tools as well, Grinder, skilsaw, impact drivers, recip saw, etc.
