Works as intended

No complaints, I've used on around 60 lugnuts and bolts with no issue. Case is kind of bulky but it was the same with my Stanley torque wrench that broke after long term use.

Since buying the MAXIMUM 1/2-in Drive, Torque Wrench, 50-250 ft-lbs. I’ve switched winter tires back to summers on two vehicles and also put new tires on my trailer. Wrench works great, the click is load. I’m happy with the purchase and would recommend it.

Buyer Beware

Barely used and well cared for but failed after 14 months - just past the 1 year warranty. Got a VERY good deal on sale but it still wasn't worth it for junk. Very disappointed, no more Canadian Tire tools for us

Q: I have never used a torque wrench before this is the first one. I don’t know how to use this because when I try to tighten by turning clockwise it does not tighten it just clicks and clicks like a ratchet on reverse. How do I reverse this?

  • A: I'm not sure if you got my reply to cancel this question. I submitted this question to the wrong product. Anyways, my issue was resolved by one of the consumers. The manual for the one I purchased was inaccurate.

Q: Why does the wrench discrimination state 50-250lbs yet the wrench itself is stamped right down to 30lb ?

1 Answer
  • A: It is my opinion that if you use such a massive torque wrench that low it will not be accurate. I would recommend getting a smaller wrench to do smaller torque’s.

1 Answer
  • A: You can visit any Canadian Tire Store and present the receipt that states Lifetime Warranty Exchange. Please note that warranty is only valid against manufacturer’s defect, not wear and tear.

Q: The yellow cap on the end of the handle on my Maximum 1/2” torque wrench went missing. Will this affect the torque settings? Can Canadian Tire replace/supply this part?

1 Answer
  • A: The torque wrench will continue to maintain functionality without that gray color end cap. Do NOT adjust the internal screw visible inside the end cap hole, which relates to the calibration/accuracy of the unit.
