A: Please note that for optimal performance, you should replace the filter after 40 gallons/151 liters or approximately every two months for an average family. To remind you of the next filter change, your MAVEA water filtration system is equipped with a filter change indicator: If you have an Elemaris system, your advanced digital MAVEA Meter will let you know when to replace the Meter based on time in use, volume of water filtered and hardness of water. If you have a Marella or Classic Fit system, your electronic MAVEA MEMO filter exchange meter will tell you when to replace the filter based on time in use.
