straps are cheap and scratch calf

you get what you pay for - they're not bad except unusable since the velcro material is stiff and sharp and cuts into the leg. You'd need a sock under for these to work well, then the extra layer in the cleat would require a size up. Buy something else - especially younger kids starting out.

Disappointed. Strap around calf tore off in first 30 minutes. The fishing line that’s used to sew them on through the hard plastic broke. Replaced with same pair but not much confidence in them now when they break on a five year old.
