Amazing tools

Was doing a project at home and needed to try to get todays bolts to fit into old door handles. My husband suggested I needed a tap, upon googling I found that canadian tire had what I needed and at amazing sale price. The staff at the grant ave, wpg were great with helping me ( thanks Chris).
This morning the job was complete in 20 mins... Right tool for the job. This is one happy Winnipeger, thanks to Canadian Tire.

Heat Treated

Hate to burst a previous reviewers bubble! But ALL Canadian Tire Tap sets are Heat Treated.There ARE perhaps better alloys available out there,..as these are not rated for Stainless Steel for example. But this set will perform exactly the same as ALL Canadian Tire Tap and Die sets.
Perhaps the Die used in a more expensive ( and complete ) set, was faulty? If so, Canaidan Tire replaces them no questions asked! :o)
Just read all the reviews for these Canadian Tire Tap and Die sets...they are HIGHLY recommended!

Amazing set for the price

After returning the best set of taps that CT sells, I bought this set because the taps were heat treated. These taps performed very well threading very hard steel, where the $180 set failed miserably. I would recommend this set to anyone for any job.

Q: Are these Taper taps? It is difficult to tell from the picture.

A: All individual taps, along with all taps inside the sets, are plug taps with 5-6 thread.
