bought on clearance for a number of upcoming projects

I'll preface this review by saying that I haven't had a chance to use them yet. I had purchased them as I am in the early stages of building a new house and wanted to be able to do some of the work while building the house, garage and barn. They were on sale at a great price (as it turns out, they were on clearance, but they still are covered by warranty if needed), so I bought them. As my luck is such that when I am actually ready to do the work - I'd end up paying a fortune to get an equivalent set. The one will be great for the framing work, another is perfect for the trim work and creating shelving and storage spaces in the basement. I have a number of other Mastercraft tools, compressors and the such, and if these are anything like the others, then I have no worries and am certain they will work fine. If there's any issues, then they have the warranty to cover them. Now I am just waiting to be able to actually get them hooked up to the compressor and get productive.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Missing items

Bought this yesterday. On clearance for 150. Great price. Found out its missing the nails and staples pictured and also labeled on the box as included content. It was thr last one but ill be heading back to speak with customer service. Great price or not I expect to receive all my contents inside. Everytime I buy mastercraft it seems I don't get all my parts. This happened with my jack as well.

    Questions

    1 - 8 of 8 Questions

Q: I have in-line lubrication system with oil lubricator, but I don't know how much oil I have to set up the automatic system. Some videos say 1 drops each 5 seconds, other say 1 drop each 1 minute. Please, how much oil do I have to set up my lubricator?

    1 Answer
    • A: Thank you for your question! This would be contingent on the in-line lubrication system that you have. Please directly reach out to our customer service team and we will be able to answer your question!

Q: What psi is required to operate the tools? Do you need to use oil to lubricate these also?

    1 Answer
    • A: Please see below table for operating PSI. Depending on if you need to use the tools intermittently or continuously will define the compressor you need. We would recommend at least a 2.5 HP 8 gallons+ for intermittent jobs or 15 gallons+ for continuous use. Nailer Operating -PSI Air Consumption, (CF/Cycle @ 90PSI) Air Powered Stapler-70-110 ( .028) Air Powered Brad Nailer -70-110 (.03) Air Powered Finishing Nailer - 70-110 (.051) Air Powered Pin Nailer -70-110 (.01) Lubrication: If the Air-powered Nailer and the compressor are not equipped with an in-line lubrication system, place up to 6 drops of pneumatic tool oil into the air inlet before each work day or after every 2 hours of continuous use, depending on the characteristics of the workpiece and type of fasteners used.

Q: How big are the nail holes on the pin nailer? How visible would they be on stained maple baseboard trim? I'd like to try a pin nailer since the nail holes are supposed to be quite hard to see compared with a finish or brad nailer.

    1 Answer
    • A: The hole for pin nailer is 0.63mm, and it can be used for baseboard trim.
