The tile cutter boasts a drop-forged steel construction with a professional-grade soft grip, in order to provide the tool with strength, durability, and comfort while you work. This Mastercraft tile cutter features a ½" (0.5 cm) tungsten carbide scoring wheel atop a solid steel base, both of which provide it with improved stability.

Pretty good tile cutter at a decent price

I had one small bathroom tiling job and didn't want to spend much money on a tile cutter. There would never be another tile job. So I bought this Mastercraft one. I think I paid about $60 for it. It's pretty decent for the money. The frame is well made, the rails are solid but the carriage is a bit, well, light duty and imprecise. Still, it did a good job and I'm happy with the results.

A: This tool is built to score and precisely break tiles along the weakened score line. The scoring wheel is not designed to cut vinyl flooring.

Q: Can you use this tile cutter with the blade that comes with it to cut Porcelain tiles or should you put a new carbide? blade on it to do Porcelain to do these tiles, on the box it says it can't, Can Someone Explain To Me Why? I did buy This Good or Bad?

A: This sku was not designed for porcelain tiles. Since porcelain is more dense than ceramic it really requires a Wet saw and diamond blade to cool the tile while cutting.

A: yes the 20 inch ceramic tile cutter is ideal for ceramic tiles on the straight away up to 20 inches and on the diagonal up to 14 inches
