I picked up a bum one, the dust pan curves up in the center so everything you sweep into the pan slides underneath..not fun! If I step on the ridge and hold it down you can get some of the dust in the pan

The dust pan bottom is not flush to the floor. When sweeping the dirt goes under the dust pan instead of inside the dust pan.
