Great small bandsaw for the price

This is a really useful tool, and it is priced really competitively. Great for small work - it has a limited cutting height, and the motor is only so big, so keep that in mind. I love it because I can stash it under my bench when it's not in use. Make sure you read the specs, and you take the time to make the adjustments. Most of the negative reviews seem to be from people who A) didn't read what height of wood it cuts (9 inches refers to the WIDTH not the height), or B) they haven't taken the time to adjust the blade's travel. Once you do that, it cuts very well. On sale, this is a real bargain.

Great for small jobs

I have used this only a few times, but it works as it should. Easy to assemble and align. The include mitre gauge is only good for larger pieces unless you make a custom sled. Quiet, nice and small for my basement workshop area. I have this, the drill press, and the power belt/disc sander on a desk from IKEA.

Works great for a bench top unit!

Excellent operation right out of the box. Very little tuning was necessary. The only issue i had was a slightly caved in fan shroud contacting the motor cooling fan, which was easily remedied with a hammer and dolly. No stars lost for a shipping issue.

they need to put the actual size of this in the specs and call it what it is a mini wannabe bandsaw. what a complete waste of time driving to Canadian tire today thinking I was going to buy a bandsaw only to see this junk mini bench bandsaw wannabe.

A: I think it was 59.5. I returned the bandsaw because it was poorly made, set up for the guides was terrible and tension system was impossible to set. Typical of junk made in China.
