Light duty only

Only use for light duty, anything more than simple cut off disks will wear the bearings and create wobble. As far as i can tell there are no replacement parts for this

these things don t last long at all , i get between 1 and 5 hours use before they stop working, that s for the 6amp, i can just imagine how bad the 5amp one is

Pass it by and go for better

Had it a few months, used it a few times in my shop and burnt out the motor. This can only be used for light duty. To top off not in stock for replacement and have to wait,. Pay more and get a better quality one

A: The whole accessory kit goes on sale from time to time. I think I paid $14 for mine and I am still using it 3 years later. It's nice to know you have everything you need.

Q: We have a 4.5 inch angle grinder and lost the spanner wrench for changing discs....bought a new grinder kit today at Canadian tire and the wrench that came with does not fit the spacing on the grinder. Did mastercraft change the spacing?

Q: For the Mastercraft 6A 4.5" Angle Grinder can you buy 4.5" saw blades for this as long as they have the 5/8" arbor and can operate at 10,000+ rpm?

A: The arbor size of the angle grinder is 5/8” (16 mm). The grinder speed is 11,000 RPM. The compatible grinder wheel is in 7/8” (22 mm) bore size. The speed of the grinder wheel should be bigger than 11,000 RPM and lower than 13,200 RPM.

Q: Wet operation Can this angle grinder be used safely around water? More specifically I'm thinking of wetting tiles to then cut with appropriate ceramic disc.

A: No, it specifically states in the owner's manual that this cannot be exposed to rain or wet conditions. A wet power tool will increase the risk of electric shock.
