Save money, wait for a new design

[Employee of canadiantire-ca] I was actually really happy when I saw as able to find these at a different CT then my usual one. I found them on clearance and now I know why they are. I had read the other reviews but I am always more of a guy that needs to see for himself, well I did and I will say that these are really bad. They do not hold tight, they come loose very easily and also are very cheap plastic twist clamp to “tighten” the strap. I wanted to use these to build some smaller tool cabinets for my shop wall, disappointed. Also a pain to try and store them as they do not roll up neatly for storage, and no hook or loop to hang them when done. Nice try but back to the drawing board with this design.i am sure your Engineers can do better.

Does the job, barely

Very flimsy and the screw section is too light weight. The dewalt option is significantly more robust and works better. However if you are stuck this would be workable but I don’t think you would like it

Q: What is the maximum tension? How much tension can the strap hold (a) before slipping and/or (b) before breaking? After reading a great deal of negative reviews related to this matter in question I am somewhat reluctant to purchase this item.

- A: It says 13 feet. The out door Cedar Planter box i made is 16 inches tall and 3 ft by 2 ft and had no problem holding together. The people must be using it wrong. Just push the tension bar and it stays until released. See here is a picture of the box no issues.11 years agoHelpful?

- Translate with GoogleA: Vous devez vous assurer que les loquets sur les côtés qui maintiennent la courroie (de chaque côté de la poignée) sont bien flippé. S'ils se font touché une fois la courroie est serrée, il relâchera la pression. Le cylindre noir est là pour enrouler la courroie pour le ranger (comme il est dans l'emballage).
