Be careful if buying for older cabinets

Shelves are for Mastercraft cabinets, Canadian Tire exclusive brand but the clips with the shelves no longer fit the cabinet that I bought just one year ago. And they do "have" access the 'old' clips. Pretty disappointing when each shelf costs $40.

Q: I bought the 36 inch wide cabinet and these shelves are referenced as being an additional purchase. Can these shelves be downsized or are they just for the 48 inch cabinets? If they don't fit, are there any options to add shelves for the smaller cabinet?
