Worked for about 3 minutes and just quit.. Wasnt about to waste time exchanging and trying a replacement. So got a refund and went back to using our original standard drill.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Has some issues!

I purchased this tool approximately 1 year ago. I did a small job (drywalled a 12 x 12 bedroom) and it seemed to do fine. About 2 months later I continued with another reno I had underway which involved drywalling a unit that was 12ft x 40ft. This is when the problems began. Bit dropping out, screws not dimpling properly regardless of attempts to make adjustments, drill end kept coming off, pretty much the same issues described by other reviewers. I am disappointed with this tool and suggest Canadian Tire remove it from their tool selection. I wish to say that I have historically had great luck with Mastercraft tools....guess I was do to find a lemon....this drywall drill is a lemon

Q: Is there any difference between this and your standard drill i.e. is it designed to prevent stripping of screw heads?

A: Many features differentiate, these two tools. The main difference is the bit holder on the drywall gun provides a better fit for the screw, enabling ease of use while preventing the stripping of heads.

Q: Can be used for decking screws fence or deck projects?

A: Drilling into wood exclusively is not it’s intended use. However it can be done as long as you are using the recommended screw size. Please consult the owner’s manual to find that size.
