Q: Does this pump require a pressure tank for cottage use or does the stainless steel body perform that function?

A: Fixed Typo from above answer - maybe someone can remove my previous response This pump has no pressure switch and is not designed for household use. It will not turn on/off automatically based on pressure. But if you did put a switch in the mix, you would still need a pressure tank. Do not use this for water supply to a cottage. This is to water the lawn without using your well/city water.

Q: We purchased the Mastercraft irrigation pump, 3/4 HP. The descriptions says that it needs a “Street T” to operate, that is not included. No one at our Canadian Tire Store knows what a Street T is, nor can I find it online. What should I ask for?

A: It is a common plumbing fitting that you will have the hose in on one side, the hose out on the opposite side and the top is where u fill the pump to prime but close with an actual bolt

A: Pump will run a sprinkler. I purchased it so I can flood a skating rink with pond water. Worked ok for that purpose.

Q: What is the maximum total dynamic head? What are the performance differences between this pump and the similar 1.5HP pump that you sell?

A: The total dynamic feet of head is 147 feet on item 1623596. The main differences between the two pumps are: 1. 062-3413 is a 1-1/2 HP motor verses 3/4HP. 2. Flow rate for 062-3413 is 1200GPH verses 1050GPH for 062-3596 3. 062-3413 pumps up to 150ft verses max. lift of 25ft for 062-3596 4. 062-3413 comes with an on-off switch for safety and convenience. Q: I want to hook the intake to my water system that is at 30 psi and have to go another 30 ft of vertical lift. Will I get 80 psi at the pump discharge? I will be putting a pressure switch on the pump to limit it.
