Overall, this a decent little work saw for small projects. Its more cons than pros however compared to competition and other brands available.
Pros:
- Lightweight
- 20v Mastercraft Battery family
- Easy to use and ergonomic controls
Cons:
- Cheap feeling, especially the blade guard that broke after one use.
- Not much cutting depth
- Very little torque, blade got stuck several times cutting pine 2x6s.

Lightweight and unencumbered

I used to dread hauling out my old heavy corded circular saw and would try to use anything else I could to make long cuts but after buying this cordless saw I am using it for lots of jobs and am happy to say it is a pleasure to use. Being lightweight and cordless makes the job so much easier and it has plenty of power for my needs. I do have two batteries and charger so I always have a charged battery ready to go.

travail bien mais un hic si tu es droitier et tu coupe avec vu que la lame es a gauche tu reçois le brin de scies dans la face pas génial qui n'aille pas de scies du même model mais avec la lame a droite j'ai eu bien des mésaventure avec une feuille de plexiglass qui vaut plus chère que la scie

Q: I have this 20V MAX drill (054-1332-6). A sales associate at a Canadian Tire store told me that the battery will not work with this saw, but your previous answer seems to say it will. So will it? And will the charger work for the larger 4aHbattery option?

A: Yes, the battery from The Mastercraft drill 54-1332, will work on this saw. And yes, the charger will work with the 4ah battery as well (and so will the drill and the saw). All of the Mastercraft 20v batteries regardless of Amp Hour (Ah) will work with all of the tools and chargers

Q: The batteries that are listed as compatible are no longer sold at Canadian tire. What are the replacement batteries? Can I use Product #054-7557-6 (4.0 ah) and Product #054-7553-4 (2.0 ah) instead?

A: 54-1022 is a 5 1/2" 18T blade for cordless circular saws. We don't currently sell a cordless jig saw.

Q: The description says battery and charger sold separately. Does that mean that there is none included?

A: The 20V max circular saw is part of the 20V max family of tools. If you have another tool from the 20V max program you can use that charger and battery. You can also buy the charger and battery separately. 054-3124 1.3Ah battery, 054-3125 2.6Ah battery and the 054-3126 is the 20V max charger. This tool is not sold with the battery or charger.
