    Not Good

Bought this model a few years ago to inflate vehicle tires only, not strong enough for air tools. Unit has always been inside and just recently it crapped out, needs a new piston ring. Canadian Tire does not carry replacement parts for their own product, and you will not find one on the internet that matches the design.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Hello john - Thank you for taking the time to voice your concerns. Unfortunately, this air compressor line was discontinued for more over 5 years. We are always looking at ways to improve our products and reviews like yours allow us to address our customers’ needs and concerns. We would like to assure you that there is no need to worry about replacement parts as we do our best to keep parts readily available long after items have been discontinued/the warranty period is over.
The piston ring goes by part number 3490150-1. You may order the part through our helpline at 1-888-909-6757. GreenworksTools

    STOPPED DEAD

MASTERCRAFT 058-700-2. STOPPED WORKING. Hardly used it at all and it stopped working completely. I have a bigger compressor but wanted a more portable unit for light, small jobs eg blowing a bit of dust out of equipment. This has hardly had any use and just refused to start. It is out of warranty but has hardly been used and looks brand new. DO NOT BUY. IT IS DISPOSABLE COMPRESSOR!!!

Don't buy it. Waste of money.

Used once for a wainscoting job in the basement about a year ago and thought it was terrific. Went to use it to pump some tires around the cottage and it crapped out. Do yourself a favour and don't even consider this unit.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Very light duty!

I bought one about 5 or 6 yrs ago and used it for inflating tires and as an air blower. It worked okay for a while but was very noisy. It soon started taking a long time to fill the tank and I should have retuned it before the warranty expired. I guess I ran it maybe an hour a month so it's probably got about 50 or 60 hours on it before it quit pumping. I took it apart and found that the piston cup has worn out; otherwise everything is fine. So a ten-cent nylon washer-cup is all it needs but it's not available as far as I can determine. If you need a compressor for blowing up balloons or bicycle tires this is the one for you; otherwise take a pass on this one!

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: Is it normal for the sound of air leaking to be coming from inside the motor? When I fill the tank, and the motor shuts off, I can hear the sound of leaking air. It sounds like it is coming from inside the motor. If I do not use the attachment the pressure still decreases. Is this normal?

    • A: This is not normal for a compressor. This same thing happened to me on the first one I bought. The air is leaking in from the unit and it should be returned if still under warranty.

Q: Would this be able to fill a 4500 psi paintball tank?

    3 Answers
    • A: No, look at the max pressure you are trying to achieve. You are trying to fill a small cylinder with a large amount of air. This is done by filling the cylinder and then compressing the air inside of that cylinder to create additional room for more air. To fill a paintball cylinder you would either need a special, high pressure compressor, similar to a firefighter air pack compressor or use a large commercial cylinder. No retail air compressor anywhere will be able to fill a paintball tank. Sorry, the CT "specialist" that attempted to answer you is not correct.
