This product was purchased at a sale price and is one of Mastercraft's inexpensive oscillating multitools.
It came with a basic tool kit and manual. I purchased it to facilitate a Lithium Ion golf cart battery conversion. It easily cut away protruding thick composite humps and protrusions in the battery bay compartment. Variable speed ability is a real plus. Worked very good. I am pleased with this product for the price paid.

Q: I can't find proper sized sandpaper 40grit and 60 grit. Nowhere on the packaging or manual is listed the size of the Sandpaper to order online. I measured 3 3/4" tip to tip where do I buy replacement sandpaper? Commonly sold size is 3 1/4 (too small)?

Q: I have to remove vinyl type flooring from my bathroom. It is one piece and may be glued down. Would this tool work well for this purpose? Also, would it be useful to cut out a portion of the subfloor if there is water damage?

A: Good afternoon: Haven’t tried to use this tool to remove vinyl flooring. Insofar has removing a portion of the subfloor, I would suggest a jig saw. Hopefully no floor joist will interfere with the removable. P. S. You have nothing to loose by trying the multiple crafter.

Q: Right out of the box first use, it was going along I was just cutting a piece of plastic and then the blade start swinging around so it came loose. how can this be prevented from happening in the future?

A: The tightening bolt does have a tendency to loose if it isn't really tight.

Q: What size are the triangular Hook & Loop sanding pads? Also, how are they measured because I read that this unit is compatible with 3-1/8" sanding pads but no matter which way I measure the ones that came in the kit, I don't get 3-1/8"? Depending on the ways I measure it, I get 3-1/2" or 3-5/8" or 4".

A: Indeed the kit has the right size sandpaper in a variety of grits. But Sandpaper replacement is another matter. Canadian Tire Team I urge you to stock replacements parts and supplies for the products you sell.

Q: would this work to remove caulking around the bathtub/shower walls?

A: Hello, this multi-tool is ideal for scraping, which means it can be used to remove the caulk well. And it is recommended to match the flexible scrapers (included in the kit) for caulk and hard-to-reach areas. One tip: please make sure that the screw head does not make contact with the surface during the scraping process.
