This is a good charger, but doesnt have the LCD readout that the power exchange one has, so i normally use that. Fully useable though, the lights are really all you need.

Q: What does E1 mean when li-ion battery is put on to charge?

A: This means that the charger is not identifying the battery, Try cleaning the metal contacts of the battery to see if that resolved that problem. If not cal the MC number below 1-800-689-9928

Q: is there something wrong with my powerexchange charger? Just purchased power tool package, includes multicharger 54-3103-0. Directions on use of charger are so unclear. When i plug it in to the power source, both lights flash. Batteries do not appear to be charging.

A: Please call the service center toll free at 1 877 683 2082 for support. When the charger is plugged in the green light comes on. When the battery is inserted the red light will flash indicating that it is charging. When the green light starts to flash it has started trickel mode and the red light goes out. When the green light comes on full the complete charge cycle has finished.
