Extremely disappointing

After only 6 months, it broke. The toast won't go down any more as it doesn't latch. This is a cheaply made toaster. I will save my money and the space on my counter and stick to the toaster oven.

Q: Does anyone else have trouble with this toaster only toasting on one side of the bread? We keep having to pop it up and flip it around to get both sides toasted. Is it broken? Are we doing this wrong?!

A: The two heating fuses in the middle of the appliance do not share the same circuit on both sides. It sounds like one of the heating fuses may be defective. I would recommend returning and exchanging for a new unit.

Q: Does this toaster have a 1year warranty? I am having the same issue as someone else, where it only toasts on one side and I have to always flip the bread to get both sides toasted. I bought it last October & it has been doing this now for about 2 months.

Q: The specs say that there is a bagel button but I don't see one. The instructions don't mention anything about a bagel. Is there a bagel function on this toaster.

A: No bagel function for this toaster. Instead, there are DEFROST and REHEAT function. DEFROST: If the bread is frozen prior to toasting, set colour control knob to your desired darkness. Press toaster lever down vertically until it is positioned in place, then press DEFROST button and the indicator of DEFROST will be illuminated. In this mode, the bread will thaw and then toast it to desired darkness. REHEAT: If you want to reheat previously toasted bread: press toasting lever down vertically until it is positioned in place, then press REHEAT button and the indicator of REHEAT will be illuminated.
