Tubular muffins

Love this, the cups are pretty deep though, so if u make a recipe that makes 12, ur muffins will be deep down in there and when they rise they won’t come fully out and therefore won’t have the most perfect muffin shape. They will be more tubular. U could add more batter but then ur muffins would be bigger. This item is functional though and I like it

Low quality silicone, good design

Bought this in the last year and loved it. Recently it has sat in the cupboard for a few months and started leaching a crystal residue. After some research, I think it’s safe to use after washing again, but is not high quality food grade silicone. I’m going to pre-bake it before using again. I might have chosen a different brand had I known.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: I'm not looking for a jumbo size muffin pan. It appears these are narrower and taller which is what i am looking for. I need the cup to be deeper not wider? Any comments would be helpful.

A: These cups are slightly taller and not as wide as a traditional metal muffin pan. But not a super noticeable difference between the two. 4.7625cm deep. 6.35cm wide at the top. 4.7625cm wide at the bottom.

Q: I found the silicone gave off an oder when baking & set of my smoke detector is this normal? I did wash the pan before use so this was shocking

A: If you bake your muffins at.400 for the first eight minutes, then drop the temperature to 350...or if your recipe calls for 400...bake at 380 for remainder of time.
