It does not heat evenly. The waffles are brown on part of the waffle and underdone on the other part

Noticed this item was on clearance and picked it up last week. Have made Belgium Waffles twice now and though it can become quite messy to clean due to the design, with some experience most of the mess can be avoided. Aside from that, the product worked as expected and was a great buy for my family who loved the end result.

To ensure optimal results, allow the waffle maker to preheat until the green "Ready Indicator Light" turns on. Then, pour approximately 6 tbsp of batter into the centre of each plate and close the lid. The waffles should bake fully in about 5 minutes, with the "Ready Indicator Light" turning on and off during the cooking process to adjust the temperature.
