I bought this blender thinking I'd be able to make good smoothies and milkshakes. It basically doesn't even blend the fruits completely. Like the rest of the reviewers, I also experienced the fruits turning into chunks rather than blending. Such a bad blender, if I can even call it that considering it doesn't blend at all.

We've had this blender for about a year. It's a heavy unit that requires a bit of hauling to pull out of the cabinet and use. The cord is also a bit short. This blender DOES blend, but poorly. Of the three speed settings, Pulse and "1" are identical and are so fast, your food is whipped everywhere. Minimal difference as well between "1" and "2". There is no way to start off the blending gently to better incorporate the ingredients. We've successfully made somewhat creamy soups with this, but have found that an immersion blender ultimately makes the final product smoother. A shame, because a blender would be so much faster. Push came to shove when we realized that the unit itself was leaking. Contents into the base where the blade spins, and then a further whole that dripped liquid through the motor housing compartment. Upon examination, we found a deliberate hole left in the base that would allow the liquids to drip through, not over the housed motor. I'm still shocked we didn't get electrocuted from our last run. It's a shame needing to throw out a fully functional appliance like this, but this is a safety issue. It might look like a less expensive alternative, but it will only frustrate you. Heavy and hard to move, choose between "way too fast" and "slightly way too faster", and get ready to clean up your counter.
