Poor settings, never lets the bread get a good rise

Bought this maker and was trying the different recipes and pre set modes to bake the bread and none of them were turning out like an actual loaf of bread. They were all hard, spongy or cake texture. I adjusted the recipes and added less water and oil and set the machine for program 15 which is basically you making your own settings like knead and rise time. I can make a recipe in a bread pan in my oven with an hr pre bake rise time and it turns out great. This machine for whatever reason decides to start kneading the dough itself in between rise time so yoi can never get a good hour rise for a nice fluffy bread. Itll be almost risen enough and the machine will knead it and deflate it all over again. I have resorted to kneading and rises the bread itself in a different container, turning on the bread maker and letting it get to the bake point and then putting my dough in it. Completely defeats the purpose of having this machine but at least its easy to clean and I dont have to use my oven at that point.

Terrible….used online recipe and overflowed so didn’t cook properly. Then used the recipe book included and same thing happened. Waste of money.

Product works well but is to small to even hold the suggested bread mix... It rose higher than the lid before it started to bake. you could reduce the recipe and it would work just fine.

A: Yeah you should run it once before you bake anything. Like anything with non stick coatings you should heat cycle it atleast once.

A: It comes out nice but problem is after about 4 months of use the north stick coating started to rub and go into my dough, so paid all that money for a Bread machine thats only good to use a few months. I was super careful when washing and during use, just over time the dough rubbed the coating off. I would not buy at all again

A: I wouldn't say that it's Teflon, but it's definitely non-stick. This is an awesome bread maker! I bought this to replace an expensive Cuisinart machine that died, and I prefer this one.
