Q: Is this green Grease?
5 years agoA: 028-0853 (Mystik Marine & Trailer Grease) is a smooth, tacky blue grease. Blue is the official observed colour. 028-0854 (MotoMaster Marine grease) is green in colour.

Q: Mystic's info sheet for this grease says it is calcium based. CT's description says lithium based. Which is it? (See: http://docs.mystiklubes.com/msds_pi/M20086.pdf)
6 years agoA: The Marine & Trailer Grease is an Anhydrous Calcium grease. It does not contain any lithium salts.

Q: Can this grease be used in boat trailer bearing buddies ?
8 years agoA: The product in question is designed for applications where excellent water resistance is needed, but not where high temperatures may be encountered. It is not designed to be a wheel bearing grease. Thus, it is not recommended for boat trailer bearing buddies. A high-temperature wheel bearing grease bearing the NLGI GC-LB service mark is recommended for that type of application.

Q: Can this product be used on the ball and hitch of a trailer ? I need to grease the ball before putting it on the hitch. Will this product work??

Q: Can this be used on a prop shaft?
11 years agoA: We always advise referring to the owner's manual. However, in general, it can be used for this purpose. Recommend greasing once or twice per year.

Q: Is the product safe for O-rings?
12 years agoA: Product # 28-0853 Marine & Trailer grease is GC-LB compliant which means it is compatible with nitrile butadiene and chloroprene (Neoprene being the DuPont trademark name). As we are not sure what material the 'O-rings' mentioned are made of it is hard to say whether a grease has general compatibility with rubber seals / O-rings. We would have to know the rubber type and would need to run a ASTM D 4289 test to really see the compatibility. Based on the information provided we would not recommend you use this product on your O rings.
