It requires you to spell out the name of the street in full. Compared to others I have owned and or used where after typing just a few of the first letters in the name they start to list places/ names with those few letters. This model does save a name after you have entered it once it goes to a file called recents but now you have to scroll through them "all" to find a street or place name you have searched before.

No, I do not recommend this product.

The worst GPS I have ever owned

The GPS has a fantastic screen size, but when you type in a destination it may come up stating its in a different town, or duristiction than where it actually is. In truth it is inaccurate in this way. This makes picking the accurate destination very hard. Also the information inside the box gives you a customer service number that no longer exists. the only way to contact them is through email and they usually take 3 or more days to reply. if you then have another question its another 3 or more days. They assigned me a case number then stopped responding to my emails altogether. poor customer service. think long and hard before wasting money on this.

Can't get maps for European countries.

Purchased the GPS to use on a upcoming trip to Scotland. Could not figure out how to download the map. Contacted customer care at Magellan and was advised they don't supply maps for there. I will be returning it to get another make.

Magellan is the worst don’t waste your money

My previous review was deleted by Canadian tire so here’s another one hopefully this one doesn’t get deleted. This Gps is just like every other Magellan. Poorly made, bad software and a system that gets you lost more than found. Like how it’s taken me over an hour to the wrong address multiple times costing me lost revenue in my company. Tells me to take U turns when the destination is right there and sends me in circles when the street I’m looking to get to is right there. No way to disable speed warning and address finding is impossible even through you can triple check the address and STILL can’t find it even after latest map update. Only good thing is the 7 inch display, other than that it’s an over priced paper weight. Don’t waste your money, Garmin is 100 times better.
