continual problems

I've had the unit two years, have had problems with the unit changing settings on its own. Last three times out couldn't get a reading at all without resetting to factory settings and then adjusting from there. Very frustrating. When it works it works well, but it seems to have a mind of its own, brightness setting was going down to 2 on it's own. Screen was blank this morning. Showing 60 fow while I was still in the marina.

Unit Freezes up, Replacement also froze!

I received this unit, mounted it all was great for 3 months and then it would not go beyond start up screen. Tried many times to reboot, no go. Company sent me a replacement and now it is locked up the same way. These units are defective!

Having issues trying to update

I can't complain for the most part but I can't get this unit to update. Having a problem with upd file. I have tried different computers and still can't get it to update. The manual could also be more in depth for updates etc. I didn't even know I had a microsd.

good unit

good unit, im a kayak angler and the transducer is massive (3 times the size of dsi) but the ability to use traditional sonar and dsi is priceless. i mounted the transducer by ziptieing it to a scupper plug. only problem is sometimes it freezes so, you have to tun it off a couple of times i have had to unplug the unit, its a pain in the kayak.

Nice unit

Installed on kayak in designated scupper hole. Needed to order scupper hardware for transducer, also battery. Installation instructions for transducer mounts could be improved. Basically a guessing game what they mean.

A: Yes this product comes with an HDI transducer to provide traditional and high detail images. The transducer is a skimmer type to be mounted on the transom of the boat.

Q: Is this an Elite 4 HDI or an Elite 4X HDI? There is a difference. The picture clearly shows a Elite 4X HDI although the description states a Elite 4 HDI. Which one is it?

A: This is the Elite 4 HDI that includes GPS as part of the product where the Elite 4x is a sonar only product.

Q: My elite four fishfinder will work for the navigation but the depth finder will not work anymore it goes from 1.8 feet to 3 feet then back to 1.8" doesn't seem to matter even if I reset everything it's still only shows 1.8 feet any ?
