    Excellent Product

Excellent quality of the parts and finish. Super quite. A few tips: - The product is also sold under name "Tamahawk 9.9 IC". If you ever lose the manual, you can find it online under this name. - The break pad should be lubricated with "solvent-free lubricant" according to the manual. Some people used WD40 but it smells (and actually contains solvents). I used mineral oil instead (had to use a syringe to really soak the break pad). - The computer installation is different from how the manual describes it. The plastic computer bracket is mounted on top horizontal bar towards the rider, with computer resting on top. Took a while to figure this out. - If you have to get it up/down stairs by yourself, take the box apart on the main floor and carry it by parts. One reasonably strong person can manage this.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Solid Machine

We purchased this Spin Bike for indoor training. My Wife and I both ride outdoors when weather permits. Pros: The bike was well packed The instructions are to the point with good pictures The fit and finish is beyond my expectations (high gloss finish) The hardware, saddle and pedals are top quality The machine is super quiet and smooth as glass Make sure to follow the WD40 application instructions. The display is easy to read and solidly mounted The heart rate monitor works pretty accurately. My wife is a nurse and did a quick comparison and said it was close Adjustments are simple and the seat post and bars lock down solid for a firm stable feel The Emergency/Slow down break is a nice feature Cons: It is heavy and not easy to move. Not a concern for us but figured I would share this point. The weight of the unit is one of the keys to the units stability. Other notes: Highly recommended. Well worth the money over the entry level machines. We looked at local fitness stores and this is the best unit we found beside the top magnetic units that are much more expensive. Would be nice if the unit came with a Spin DVD

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    happy customer

easy to assemble but should be assembled by 2 people. makes practically no noise unless you turn the resistance knob all the way counter-clockwise (ie very little resistance) and then it makes some noise but very little. is well packaged ... i had to roll the box up a flight of stairs to get it into my home and when i opened the box all the parts were still secured in their padded compartments. i find the seat hard and the handle bars hard. expect to buy a seat cushion. not sure how much the computer adds to the price but i don't use it. i'm a happy customer.

    Nice bike

I've owned this bike for approximately a year and ride it 6+ hours per week during winter months. Pros: Awesomely solid construction, very well-built, heavy flywheel, comfortable saddle, pedals can be swapped out for clipless pedals, easy to assemble, easily adjustable, nice progressive manual break Cons: Poor water bottle placement, HRM is very unreliable (useless), the seat post should probably be offset approximately 1" for better seat-to-bottom-bracket alignment (not an issue for a casual user, but as an avid user I was developing some knee pain until I isolated this as the cause and adjusted my pedaling style), drive belt which is advertised as being quiet has developed a small rubbery squeak which needs to be lubricated periodically or it gets louder and really annoying.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Durable and Ergonomic

Great bike for most users, I found my height (>6ft) made for some issues getting to a comfortable position, but it works very well and a smooth ride. Got it on sale and if you are in it for the long haul (not just a whim), invest in a good quality like this one, or else opt for a more generic brand.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: Assembly How easy is this to assemble? What tools do I need? Does Cdn Tire have a service where they can assemble the bike for you? Do you deliver? Also $999.00 is a bit expensive. Will this go on sale in the near future?

    2 Answers
    • A: On sale this week, there are no tools in the box, you need a wrench and an allen key to get it done. It's not hard to do. There is no setup DVD either, maybe 6 pages in the instruction manual.
