I Love This Firesteel

I bought this last spring to learn a new firelighting method while camping this summer and it is incredibly fun to use! From vaseline soaked cotton balls to natural tinder material (birch bark, dry leaves, grasses, etc) it works very well once I got the hang of it. I also find it very useful for lighting a gas or alcohol stove quickly and safely compared to matches.
My advice to others is to practice a lot before relying on this to start a fire.

Handy to have for anyone going outdoors

My wife and I both have one of these flint strikers. We usually carry them in our hydration packs when mountain biking along with our first aid kits, bivvy sacks n bear spray/bangers.
This bad boy might as well be a flame thrower for all the sparks it throws down. The flint & striker are clearly from quality materials and the sparks go exactly where you think they'll go.
It's not a large product to have but it's got some huge potential.
