Kettle works. But keeps on boiling and boiling

My review of Lagostina LG290853 1.7 litre kettle. Worked fine for the first few months. That is boiled the water and turned off. Then the shut off valve stopped working. First time the whole kitchen was soaked in water vapour as almost the whole kettle boiled dry. Cannot leave unattended as it continues to have this problem every few times. Other that this one major fault the kettle functions and heats the water well.

No, I do not recommend this product.

The kettle is quick to boil. The kettle fits onto the base with ease. Some kettles you have to wiggle to get on the base. This one is smooth. When the kettle is boiled the switch is a soft pop sound so you will need to listen for it. I like this feature myself. In addition to being an excellent quality it also looks sleek with the bright chrome finish. I also bought the Lagostina toaster over a year ago. It too is awesome. First toaster I ever had that toasted the bread evenly over the entire slice,

Great look and quick boil

I've had the kettle for a few months now and I love it, it not only looks great but boils water very quickly. I like that the lid opens wide so it's easy to pour water into it. I would recommend this product.

Q: This kettle has two large plastic water-level indicators and soft rubber attachments, all with contact with the boiling water. Is the plastic BPA free? The box and website do not specify (which suggests not).
