Worst Nozzle on the Market

You will get more even coverage if you shoot the paint into a cup and wipe it on with a rag. I've used three cans, all three are a splatter-fest. The coverage is good and the adherence is fine, but good luck trying to get a coat that won't need runs sanded out. For the record, I use spray paint frequently and with success -- but not with Krylon. If you REALLY want to use it, try one can first.

Worthwhile product.

This product met my demands for the job. The paint went on smoothly looks good and is protecting the metal legs of my BBQ very well since I used it. Since my BBQ sit out in the weather the legs have gotten a few rust spots. I scraped the rust off, applied the product and no more rust. I have used it a few times on other items and the rust paint holds up well to the weather. I wouldn't prefer to buy a different brand as this one works perfectly the first time.

Decent paint for the price. Don't think I'd use it for anything too important as the adhesion seems a little hit and miss.

Q: would this rust paint work for an outdoor fire pit? Particularly on the For Living Lawrence Fire Pit sold by Canadian Tire. some of the reviews state it rusted out right away? Please & thank you

A: Hello. This is not a high heat paint so I would not recommend it for a fire pit. We do offer our High Heat or High Heat Max that can be used as long as it does not come in direct contact with the flame. Regards, Krylon Customer Support

Q: Will this paint bond to unpainted aluminum surfaces?

A: You can use RUST PROTECTOR over bare aluminium but you MUST use a primer first, as aluminium is a little stubborn.
