Powerful Blender

Amazing when it works

I've had this blender for about 7 months and while it's crazy loud, it's super effective. The presets are convenient and as long as you put the right ratio of liquids and solids, you don't have to touch it just come back when its done. The low rating is because when making a batch of hummus the other day, we got a strong electrical smell and the base of the unit was incredibly warm to the touch.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Great blender

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I was gifted this 3 years ago for Mother's day. It has been a great blender with two exceptions 1. It sounds like a jet is taking off when turned on (it is a strong, magnificent beast!) 2. the top spin off part to add ingredients was nearly impossible to open.

Disappointing especially for the price

I chose this blender over a Vitamix because of the great reviews and my positive experience with Kitchenaid products before. But I have been very disappointed. It works fine for mostly liquids like soups and smoothies but failed miserably when I put in a mixture of wet and dry ingredients. The wet ingredients at the bottom mixed well but the dry ingredients stayed at the top. And it isn’t easy to get everything out without a lot of waste because of the narrow base. So disappointing.

The base of the container is not watertight

I bought the blender about one year ago in June 2018. The container is supposed to be dishwasher-safe; however, after a couple of months, some moisture was trapped in it and mold formed in it. I called KitchenAid and they will replace it by a Pro Line Series model, because this one is discontinued.

No, I do not recommend this product.
