Great looking! Second one I’ve owned!

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This coffee maker works great! This is my second on. My coffee makers get a lot of use. I make a pot of coffee everday. We always use the auto brew. So nice to get up to the coffee already made! ☕️ There’s two things I don’t like. One is when you open the water reservoir lid it gets covered in water that has to be dried all the time and the spout on the coffee pot doesn’t pour nice.

Nice coffee maker. So far everything’s great. We love the look of it and it fits perfectly under our cabinet. I only gave it a four-star because people have said in previous reviews that the display has gone dim within the year.Time will tell. I did call KitchenAid customer service to talk to them and see if this was a known issue. They were very helpful and assured me that if the coffee maker display goes dim that they would replace the unit with a new one within the year. You can’t ask much more than that.

I bought the appliance since last summer (2019) because it was at a remarkable price for a Kitchen aid, i had not used it because my old one was still working, but when my old coffee maker suddenly stopped working I pulled the Kitchen Aid out. I loved it from first use. The fact that it filters the water first can be tasted in the coffee, it gets really hot just the way I like my coffee and I can control the strength of the coffee as well which is awesome because I like it strong and some others in the house like it weak. But I loved the timer, I set it and forget it and when I wake up my coffee is hot and strong just the way I live it. Great product, and expert craftsmanship along with ease of use. It’s the best.

A: Yes, at a small appliance dealer shop, not at the retail. Typically the replacement carafe costs are prohibitive and worth the extra money to buy a new one.

Q: Do you need to use a paper filter with this unit and if so what size and type?

A: Hi Coffeegeek, the basket holds a 10-12 cup flat bottom paper coffee filter or the Gold Tone permanent filter. Do not use both types of filters at the same time. Using both filters might cause water and coffee to overflow the brew basket. This Coffee Maker also allows for Brew Strength to be selected; Regular or bold brew, for just the way you like it. A: This sounds like an Er1 error which means a button is jammed. We recommend unplugging it and pushing each button a number of times to dislodge it. If this doesn’t work, we recommend returning it to Canadian Tire with your proof of purchase within the first year for an exchange.

A: Coffee maker automatically shuts off 2 hours after brewing. This is set at the factory and cannot be adjusted.

Q: How many minutes to brew 12 cups? Our Xmas present take 25 minutes to brew 12 cups which seems excessive. Please advise

A: On average, KCM111OB brews a full pot of coffee (12 cups) in about 10 minutes and 15 seconds, then there's 1 more minute on top of that to finish the brew (a few drips here and there), but you can definitely pull the pot at 10'15" without any issues. There's bound to be a little bit of variation in production units but we think that's a good average. If your unit is defective, you can take it back to your local store with a receipt for an exchange. The product has a one year exchange warranty,
