A: Because you don't need to replace it.. ever. It will eventually pay for itself. There's also potential for better fuel economy and power with the reduced airflow resistance that this filter provides.

Q: Do you need to reoil this air filter? Hi, Do you need to add oil to this k&n filter? Or just wash it like dry air filter?

A: When new you don't need to oil it, just pop out your old filter and pop this one in. It has been pre-oiled. After every 50,000 miles (~80,000kms) it is recommended that you take it out and clean then oil it. There's a specific kit for this.

A: I installed one in my 2011 Mazda3 2.5L It works. You probably won't notice any difference in terms of power or MPG but you'll never have to replace it.

Half the depth of origanal paper filter will wait and see 500 kms since change

Increase Horse Power

I really love the air filter. I noticed that it increases certain horse power to the car. It can be proved by the increased speed during pickup and driving on the highway. Installation is super easy. The price even though is high compared to paper filters but it is absolutely worth it. I would recommend it. One thing need to mention is not to over re-oil the filter as it will mess up the MAF sensor according to my experience.
