Best Decision Ever

I decided to go with this amp because I had to bypass the factory head unit in my car and not just the factory amp. So this amp is the heart of my sound system, and I'm glad that I chose this amp. It's everything I imagined it to be and more. I also got a sound processor as part of my setting, but I really didn't need it. I can go on and on about how great this really is, if you can find a place to hear a demo, do it. You're only regret will be not getting this amp any sooner. I would recommend the 5 ch, so you can bypass your factory head unit all together.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Proved itself well, considering it's new tech

I have to follow up on my earlier review complaining about the user manual. Customer support jumped through hoops to get one to me, and they had very good reason for their initial delay. All is good now (Thanks guys). I was skeptical on this new tech, but couldn't judge it without trying it. After preordering it and waiting months, I was rewarded for my wait. Absolutely a wonderful all-in-one amp! True quality sound with some punch to back it. If I were to lose this vehicle, I would start over with this same exact amp. Go buy it now, you won't regret it. Just do it!!! As far as Clari-Fi is concerned, I have nothing to measure how close to 100% it recovers, but the ear tells me it's gotta be a pretty high number. It really enhances the music very nicely. Nothing "snake oil" about this amp. Some really good stuff here. If you had your doubts, let me be the guy to tell you "Just go buy it!".

Yes, I recommend this product.

Great Sound, Great Features

I installed the GTR-7535 in a 2012 Ford Escape with base-audio and no sync-connectivity. After the upgrade, my family enjoys that anyone in the car can play music/podcasts/etc. with their mobile device. When I'm driving by myself...it sounds great at high-volume. I also upgraded the base speakers to GX862...Huge improvement in sound quality!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Questions

Q: Does the GTR 7535 have an integrated crossover? I want to use the 4 channels for my speaker left midrange, left tweeter, right midrange, right tweeter. Channel 5 will be for the sub.

  • A: Yes, the front and rear speakers could have a High pass or low pass filter. However, you cannot place a tweeter to the rear without any bass blocker as the high pass filter accepts 320Hz as the lowest frequency that a tweeter cannot handle.

Q: How do you mount the controller. What are the dimensions of the controller and does the connector stick out of the back. Thank you

  • A: The connector sticks out of the back. The dimensions for the control panel in the cockpit are 11.8 cm. x 4.8 cm and if mounting-frame is used the cutout dimensions are: 9.5 cm x 3.4 cm.

Q: I have a head unit with only 2*2 RCA output (Front and Rear/Sub). Is that enough for 2 front speakers + 2 rear speakers and a subwoofer? I mean does the amplifier need a direct sub input to provide sub output or it can cut it from the rear input too?

Q: Is the Clari-Fi technology incorporated in this amp considered as an automated DSP to improve the signal? Meaning if i have a non-flat and slightly low quality signal from my android head unit, would i still need an external DSP? Or the GTR will do it?

Q: How many amps does this amp draw at it's RMS values at 4 channels? So the 75 watts x4 at 4 ohms and the sub at 350 watts at 2 ohms. I'm trying to see if my alternator is strong enough, thanks.
