They’re okay.

They’re good, but I’m certainly not overly impressed. The sound quality is okay, but not amazing. Issues with it randomly connecting while it’s in the case, and issues with the light on the chargingu case not turning off, and the manual that it provides is completely useless for any kind of troubleshooting. They’re not awful, but I’d recommend looking elsewhere. 2.5 stars.

Insane Battery Life

I wanted to wait until I'd had and used this product for a while before posting a review. I have been blown away. Granted, I'm not using these earbuds for their intended purpose. I know these are marketed for exercise, but this was the only JBL earbud product I could find with the wings for a secure fit. I use these when sitting stationary, or moving around the house, and they stay secure in my ears. I was expecting lower sound quality in comparison to my earbuds from a different brand, but there has been no noticeable difference. Best of all, the battery life is incredible. I charged the case the day I received them, and there has been enough charge to last almost a month. I use one or both earbuds for several hours almost every day, and I haven't had to think about charging the case since I bought them. The controls were easy to adjust to. I wasn't expecting this product to work so well for my uses. I'm impressed.

Pretty disappointing overall.

I got these as a replacement for my Reflect Aero earbuds. They are heavier and the wings are smaller, so they do not lock in as well, and feel like they're about to fall out. The noise cancelling is barely OK (it was good with my Reflect Aeros at first but then slowly weakened to non-existence), so that was a disappointment. I just hope the batteries last because I've gone through 3 pairs of JBL running earbuds and each time they lasted a year or two before the batteries would no longer hold a charge. I was hoping for improvements with this new model, but am quite disappointed. Good thing I got them at a discount!

Q: Can these be used for lap swimming?

A: Thank you for your inquiry. Our JBL Endurance Race 2 has a top-tier IP68 rating, which means it is fully protected from damage by dust, sweat, and even submersion in water. However, they are not designed for swimming. The reason for this is a limitation of all Bluetooth technology: Bluetooth signals cannot travel reliably through water. When the earbuds are submerged, the connection to your device (like a phone) will be interrupted, and the audio will constantly cut out. So, while the earbuds won't be damaged by the water, you won't get a stable listening experience. They are perfect for intense, sweaty workouts or running in the rain, but not for use while swimming.
