Q: Is it possible to run the subwoofer output to a pair of midrange speakers? I want to use the 4 channels on some JBL components and use the subwoofer channel on a pair of midrange loudspeakers.

  • A: JBL 4505 is a 5-channel amplifier that features variable crossovers and bass boost for precise control and tuning. It's recommended to connect the midrange speaker to the midrange outputs, and the subwoofer speaker to the subwoofer inputs. This is because the crossovers on these channels are equipped to separate frequencies to the inputs. If you have more questions, please reach out to us through this link: http://bit.ly/2n1WABW.

Q: I am interested in the Club 4505 Amplifier but the specs say that this particular amplifier will not fit my vehicle - 2001 Isuzu Trooper. Is there a specific reason why this will not fit my particular vehicle? Is this based on my vehicles power supply?

Q: I have the Club 4505 amp, A set of Club 5000C, set of Club 6500C and 2 WS1200 woofers. My question is how would be best to hook up the 2 woofers to the woofer output on the amp? Which Ohm settings would I use on the amp and the woofer?

Q: i have purchased this amp along side the s3 1124 subwoofer now since the sub can handle 500rms at either 2 or 4 ohms i dont understand what to switch it to as the power output of the amps says 320 rms at 4 ohms and 500rms at 2 ohms how do i wire it for 2

  • A: Hi, and thank you for supporting JBL! The power handling of the woofer is independent of the impedance, so the 500 W is true no matter if you switch it to 2 Ohms or 4 Ohms. When the amplifier can handle a 2-ohm load, you may as well take advantage of the extra power it can produce into the lower impedance, and use the 2-ohm setting on the woofer. Please note that the lower impedance is a tougher load on the amplifier, so if you push your system to the limit, you may have the amplifier overheat or disconnect due to activating the protection curcuits because it is being driven too hard. If this happens, I would suggest to switch the woofer to the easier load of 4 Ohms. There is a switch on the woofer that you use to select 2 or 4 Ohms.
