Works as advertised.

Perfect, fast, clear and solid.

I like 5 minute epoxy: it sets fast enough, but not too fast. This is extremely clear, like glass once it cures. Sands nicely, easy to clean with acetone. I usually manage not to lose any, thanks to the screw-cap.

Waste of Money

I bought this glue an VERY lightweight ear back on to a ceramic rabbit. I chose this product because the original JB Weld works extremely well however, despite prepping, mixing & applying the product properly, it didn’t hold. Extremely disappointing & I had to make another trip out for Kraft glue, which did the trick.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Works great on Duck and Goose decoys

I've used this specific product for over 10 years and it works well underwater and it lasts. Decoys take weather and a beating for being bagged, unbagged, loaded and unloaded many times in one season. This stuff holds up, no need for anything else. Use a toothpick or small paint bruhs for small or detailed applications

Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: Will this bond wood to metal and if not, what product would you recommend?

  • A: JB-Weld was originally designed for metal to metal contact , but it will bond metals to wood also! It will bond to the metal and because of the porosity of the wood will hold on to it as well! Yes it can be used to bond metals to wood!

Q: Will J-B Weld ClearWeld withstand -50 temperatures? Using it for the siding of my car. Live up North in Timmins.

2 Answers
  • A: According to their website, yes (if your temperature reference is in Fahrenheit). I quote “Original J-B Weld has been proven to keep its characteristics up to -67 degrees Fahrenheit.” By “original” they refer to their cold weld technology, two part epoxy based solution that are chemically cured. Your cure time will be much longer than advertised at cold temperatures.

Q: Does this work on polypropylene plastic? Is it pet safe when dried?

  • A: JB Weld will bond just about anything to anything. I used it to bond glass to rubber, for example. I would highly suspect it is not safe for consumption. Best to contact the manufacturer direct for more specific questions.

Q: Would Clearweld or Plasticweld be better to glue a broken microwave door handle? Handle is hollow of grey smooth plastic, wall thickness 3 mm. Broken through near the top and I can glue the exposed edges together. It will be pulled on regularly but should not flex much after repair. Clearweld or Plasticweld better?

1 Answer
  • A: The vendor would recommend 38-3805 Plastic Bond Syringe. Also, the vendor recommends that the customer could use regular 38-3760 J-B Weld Epoxy (grey color). Ensure that the customer give it full 24 hour cure.
