Works as described

Worked and sealed the crack in my y-pipe. Hopefully it lasts more than today. do no recommend using this for holes - It is pretty soft and will blow out while you idle to finish the setting/curing process.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Had to weld mid exhaust pipe connector was really rusty and weak metal but needed my work van asap ... After welding I used JB muffler cement to cover up some minor holes its only temporary solution but it worked.

This is mainly for exhaust pipe joint use. If sealing a hole look to the 38572 wrap. jbweld

  • A: JB should be allowed to fully cure before putting into use, JB stats that if you want to speed cure time use warming heat. that being said JB like most epoxys is more for moderate heat applications and when subjected to high heat tends to soften. JB works best if it can be mechanically anchored , if it can be compressed into, trapped in the void that needs filling, surface cracks in high heat situations present the greatest challenge and then there is the expanding and contracting issue to. Best bet is to make the surface being applied to as rough or toothy as possible before application, try and get full cure before use.
