The IRWIN® UNIBIT® HSS Fractional Self-Starting Step Drill Bit is made of high speed steel. Hole sizes are permanently laser-etched on the inside of the flute and will not wear away for easy identification throughout the life of the bit. The bit features a quick change hex shank that secures easily in the drill chuck.
Irwin Unibit #1 Step Drill Bit allows you to drill up to 13 different hole sizes with the same bit, from 1/8” to 1/2" (3.2 - 12.7 mm)
Eliminates the need to change drills when drilling round holes in thin materials
Each smaller size drill acts as a pilot for the next size
Made from industrial grade high speed molybdenum steel and is heat treated to assure maximum durability
Patented single-flute cutting edge assure true round holes and gives greater control through steps
Hex shank prevents slipping in drill chuck
SpeedPoint tip penetrates faster and prevents walking
Laser-engraved measurements with increments of 1/32" (0.8 mm)
Ideal for drilling holes into thin materials such as stainless steel, copper, brass, aluminum, plastic, and laminates
