    Do NOT buy this bike

Having grown up riding bikes from Canadian Tire, I thought that the quality would be there. Big disappointment. I bought this in September 2012 and since then have replaced the shift mechanism, derailleur and main shaft bearings. This bike has not been abused - it is simply made from components that are too cheap to last. I would have returned the bike but had misplaced the receipt. This was a birthday gift to my daughter and she is so afraid to ride it now because she thinks she will break it again - not the love of a bicycle that I remember as a kid. I also thought that the Jumpstart charity aspect was great but this product is simply not worth the hassle you will inevitably face if you buy it.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Very Bad Shifting

This has to be one of the worst Shifting mechanisms on bikes. There's no way a kid can shift while riding. Tried 3 of the same model in store, all the same. Ask your kid to try it before buying.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Durable Bike

Since purchasing this bike for my child, it's been taken on long treks and has been handling it all quite well. The tough terrain its been on, the not so gentle handling by an active child, has put this bike through many tests. It's passed with flying colours. I would recommend this bike for its durability.

    Yes, I recommend this product.
