Gas vs Battery operated

Works fast! Love the fact it’s battery operated, when drilling out holes inside the ice hut, air is clean unlike the old 2-stroke auger I have. Ice hut would fill up with exhaust from the gas auger making it impossible to breathe. The battery would last all day and most of the following day if you were searching for fish moving around and drilling a lot of holes.
The other advantage of a battery operated auger is the simplicity of just squeezing the trigger, you are not setting a choke or flooding the engine and trying to pull start a temperamental gas auger. This makes it much faster when driving around on a snowmobile drilling a lot of holes in search of fish.

I was a bit of a skeptic about an electric auger but was proved wrong - cuts much faster than my gas auger and without binding and grabbing as the hole deepens - the reverse to clear slush is a nice feature too - very happy with the overall performance
