Q: Would this work on a 12 foot inflatable boat with a 9.9 4 stroke mercury cant get it to plane.
5 years agoA: Not sure if it would fit the foot on a 9.9 , distribute the weight in your boat, or you have too much weight for the motor to push, have you tried the boat empty? If its s 12 footer it would be easy to shift yourself closer to the front, i have a 10ft fibreglass with a 1977 4hp evinrude that plsnes out by simply moving myself to the middle of the boat

Q: What is the minimum horsepower of motor this whale tail is good for?
10 years agoA: It depends on the model of motor itself and the size of the cavitation plate for actual horsepower fitment, some will fit, some won't. The package has a diagram that should allow you to see if it will fit your individual engine.
