Sparse instructions even once you get it up and running. The display at the end of the firmware update looked like it crapped out, but it appears to have worked by unplugging and replugging it in. Not sure how to review the live data - it scrolls, but no indication of time frame, or how to zoom in/out to condense or expand it. Think they need to work with actual customers to make it better, and not just computer nerds/auto techs who may understand what they are looking at or already know how it works. But, it did display what the fault was and let me clear it out to confirm that it was a recurring one, so that's good.

Quick Bluetooth pairing, fast code pulls, and surprisingly detailed reporting and great little OBD2 reader for the price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great little tool It connects quickly over Bluetooth and pairs easily with the app. Pulls codes fast and the reporting is genuinely detailed, giving clear definitions and freeze-frame data instead of just a vague code number. Build feels solid for the price, and it's been reliable across multiple vehicles. Definitely recommend if you want more than a basic "check engine light" reader.

Crazy portable and easy to use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dongle is really easy to navigate and its functions are clearly defined. It was easy to set up but it had a couple errors on the update at first and that is the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5. The app makes it easy to interact with and it helped me identify and clear some codes. The Bluetooth connectivity makes incredibly portable and easy to store. I would recommend this to even the most inexperienced home mechanic. Very handy to have.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I did not like it. Well I love the idea. And very easy to use but ….. As soon as it connected to my vehicle it asked to update vehicle. I’m not updating anything on my vehicles. I just need to read and reset codes that’s it.

Q: I see reports of folks returning this device. HOW? My store has an exchange-only policy on this very-limited- functionality item despite the description referencing high-level functionality.

  • A: I never brought this for it's supposed high functioning. I just brought it for a code reader and description. Has a few other functions but never used them. If you want more like data, you gotta spent 500 and up.
