    Cheap Steel. The knives only hold an edge about long enough to butcher one whitetail field to freezer. Really easy to sharpen however the steel is soft. The hook is only bevelled on one side so it cuts as straight as a politician.... You know the ones. Makes a great pack set, small, light Don't pay full price
