    The foam used in the back panel squeaks like new leather with every movement. Unfortunately it is bonded to the material, so it cannot be removed. It's very annoying. The side zippered pockets don't expand outwardly. Anything you put in them just reduces the inner capacity. The side mesh pockets need a draw string. The angled strap doesn't offer much help if you put in longer items like elk bugles or a bipod etc. The waist belt pouches should be removable. They are in the way of a rifle's butt stock when carrying it at waist level. The shoulder straps need vertical pouches for a radio, game call, spare mag etc.

    This pack met all my requirements for a day trip in the far north. Plenty of room inside and lots of pockets with quiet zippers. There is also room for a waterpak to go in. I am 6’4” and just under 300lbs and the straps and harnesses fit me like a glove with room to spare. You can’t go wrong with this pack, especially since it is priced way below what most outfitting shops sell theirs for.

    Q: What are the loops for in the front of the back pack and how do they work?

    • A: Lash points for whatever you may want to add to the pack.  Not shown is a rifle carry with a bottom sack and barrel strap on the middle of the pack.

    • A: You don’t actually put the rifle in the pack, there is an attachment that comes with the pack that holds the rifle butt so that the rifle lays across it and is strapped in across the front of the pack.
