It's a miracle!

Here's the story! My approx. 5 year old Dempsey fan began stopping and not working. I replaced the capacitor, but it did not fix the problem. The fan would come on and run for 20 - 30 minutes then just stop and the light would go out. If I waited 45 minutes, it would come back on and go through the same senario. So I bought the new fan to just replace the bad fan. The night before the new fan came in, the old fan was running and "stayed on", not stopping after 45 minutes. The next day, I turned it back on and it ran without stopping. It was running properly! So, I now have the replacement fan in a bedroom closet and will just keep it to have as backup if I ever have to replace my old fan. I give the old fan a 5 star rating for running properly again and I give the new fan a 3 because it's still in the box and has not been used.

Awesome fan! Moves a ton of air and has great balance out of the box. The AC motor in this has a pretty loud hum, but the wind noise covers it nicely. Over all, very pleased with my purchase and Hunter fans in general! And for those wondering- you do NOT have to use the wireless remote/receiver the fan comes with at all. You can just not use the green receiver box and wire the light (blue wire) directly to a light switch and the black wire from the motor directly to a speed controlled switch (Otherwise it will run only on high) I used a Kasa KS240 switch and it works well on all 4 speeds.

The pairing of the remote to the receiver only last about two minutes check the battery check the wiring twice does not work very frustrating

Below expectations

Very frustrating installation: 1st the first thing in the box is a 4 guide about the down rod installation, which after 10 minutes I determined didn’t even exist on this product. The hardware for this product might as well have come from a dollar store. The thread on one wore super easily leading to me wasting time trying to make it to work then a trip to but my own which had no issues. There very little guidance about where to attach the fan bracket and screws, and how to get the braided safety wire through the outlet box. The fan itself is okay, a bit of a hum, but the delay on the light turning off or on is weird. I have my concerns about the long term quality based on all this.
