My favorite fish finder

Easy to set up and easy to read once in use. In comparison to other Fish Finders I have used this one has to be the best. The fact that it actually shows the icon of the fish rather than a blue line that could be anything etc. makes it easier to locate the fish you are looking for.

love this thing, a little hard to connect battery in the tight area but a minor inconvenience. the carryingcase is great so it can be stored all together and taken wherever...on the boat, ice fishing. I thank my kids for my birthday present every time we go out. lol

Didn't even use it yet and hate it already! The directions are clearly out of order and images shown are not for this product. The large easy access opening for the battery does not exist. Instead there is a small opening, smaller than the battery making connecting it very difficult. This is very frustrating already with the horrible design and instructions, I'm sure it'll work equally as horribly. I'll be returning this immediately.
No, I do not recommend this product.

A: Yes it has the suction cup transducer. Yes it has the suction cup transducer. Works well. The battery is the miniature deep marine battery about 2 inches wide x 5 inches long and about 4 inches high. When you need to pull it out of the boat to recharge, you can unplug the transducer from the main unit and leave it suctioned to the boat. A handy feature. It needs some assembly. I have had this for at least 2 years. So far, for the price, it’s a great fish finder.

A: Le canon devrait être d'au moins 3" de large pour que le support de cardan puisse s'y attacher directement. Q: can an ice transducer be hooked up to this unit and function ?

A: There is no Ice Ducer that can be used with the Piranha MAX 4. However, you can use the standard transducer that comes with the unit for Ice Fishing but, would have to Stabilize the transducer, level it to get it beneath the ice.
